Prerequisites

  • ✓A Kubernetes cluster and kubectl configured

Install the Linkerd CLI

terminal
curl --proto '=https' --tlsv1.2 -sSfL https://run.linkerd.io/install | sh
export PATH=$HOME/.linkerd2/bin:$PATH
linkerd version

Validate and install into the cluster

terminal
linkerd check --pre
linkerd install --crds | kubectl apply -f -
linkerd install | kubectl apply -f -

Verify

terminal

Same install commands regardless of host distro — the CLI is a Go binary and everything it installs lives inside the cluster.
